The Sawtooth Mountains are host to an amazing array of summer activities in 2016. Join us!

Redfish Lake Lodge sits in the “Heart of the Sawtooths” which makes it a perfect setting for exploring all that Stanley, Idaho has to offer. Redfish Lake Lodge’s Annual Memorial Run is a fantastic way to get the summer season started. This excellent event gathers over 400 people from around the country to run a choice of 5K, 10K, or Half-Marathon distances against the beautiful Sawtooth Mountain scenery. Finishers in a variety of age groups receive awards – and don’t forget to join the Bluefish Club by jumping in the frigid lake after the run. Be sure to check it out if you have the endurance.

Sawtooth Relay (June 11)

One more fun running event to start the season is the Annual Sawtooth Relay. Teams of 6 individuals take turns running or walking on 12 separate legs that add up to a total distance of 61.9 miles. The race begins at Stanley Elementary School and ends in Atkinson Park, all the way south in Ketchum.  After the race, participants can enjoy a large party with live music, food, drinks, t-shirts, and awards for all.

Stanley Sawtooth MusicFest – Round 1 (June 18)

The Stanley Sawtooth MusicFest will hold its first round of performances on June 18, 2016. Performers will include Shane Smith & The Saints, Rust on the Rails, Two Tons of Steel, John D. Hale Band, Kenny Saunders & Friends, and Matt Skinner Band.  This should be an awesome gathering of talented country and rock talent so be sure to check it out.

Stanley Sawtooth MusicFest – Round 2 (July 2)

Round 2 of the Stanley Sawtooth Mountain MusicFest will kick off on July 2 with performances by a spectacular group of female musicians, including Suzy Bogguss, Carrie Rodriguez, Jeanne Jolly, Bri Bagwell, Kimberly Dunn, Eileen Jewell, and Sweet Lillies. It’s hard to find such a large gathering of excellent performers, so don’t miss this event!

Stanley 4th of July Celebration (July 4)

Stanley, Idaho knows how to celebrate the 4th of July in style. Be sure to visit the area for a hike or river rafting trip, then join us for the annual parade and firework show, as well as lots of activities at Redfish Lake and other local businesses. 40th Annual Mountain Mama’s Arts & Crafts Fair (July 16-17)

The ever-famous Mountain Mama’s Arts & Crafts Fair is set for July 16 and 17 in 2016, and we hope to see all you crafty and creative folks in Stanley for all the curiosity. Over 130 vendors from throughout the Northwest join us in town to share their talents and soak up the scenes. This is a great place to pick up reasonably priced, custom artwork – much of which highlights the Sawtooth Mountains and our beautiful natural setting. You’ll be sad to miss this extraordinary event.

Sawtooth Valley Gathering (August 19-20)

The Sawtooth Valley Gathering is a fun, musical event focused on bringing superb musical performers to the beauty of Stanley and the Sawtooths for a weekend festival. This year’s lineup includes Fruition, Scott Pemberton, Gipsy Moon, Free Peoples, Innocent Man, Lounge on Fire, Old Death Whisper, Jupiter Holiday, Spike Coggins, Accidental HitchHikers, Ty Clayton & Ali Knox, First Chair, Jac Sound, Holus Bolus, Casey Kristofferson, Mineral Hill, and Ben Cullinan. Stanley-Sawtooth Cowboy Poetry & Music Gathering (September 2-3)

The Annual Stanley-Sawtooth Cowboy Poetry & Music Gathering hosted by the Sawtooth Mountain Mamas is a truly unique event that is right at home in the “Wild West” of Idaho’s Sawtooth Mountains. The event brings together true cowboys from all over the west to share their original poetry and music. Visitors can enjoy live performances and cowboy demonstrations all weekend at various locations throughout town.

Plein Air Painters (September 5-9)

Each fall, Redfish Lake Lodge is honored to host the Plein Air Painters of Idaho for a multi-day artistic exploration. We’re proud to host them again for 4 days in September 2016, so make your plans to spend some time exploring all these amazing artists have to offer. Painters can be witnessed in the process of creating original masterpieces which highlight the Sawtooth Mountain scenery, and some of the pieces are even sold to interested buyers. In addition to all these excellent, one-time events, Redfish Lake Lodge also offers live Music on the Lawn every Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday night. This is the perfect opportunity to relax with friends and loved ones, soak up the scenery, enjoy some great tunes, and maybe even dance a bit.
