Hiking

Begin your self-guided excursion at the Redfish Lake Trailhead parking area. From there, you and your family will be delighted by the easy 200-foot elevation change along the Fishhook Creek Trail. On your way, you’ll pass by sage bushes, aspen trees, spacious meadows, sweeping views of Redfish Lake, and of course, the breathtaking Fishhook Creek. Be sure to bring your camera and photograph the diverse terrain while you walk down this tree-covered path!

Horseback Riding

Here at Redfish Lake Lodge, we invite you to explore in true cowboy fashion: on horseback! Head to the on-site Redfish Lake Corrals to embark on a once-in-a-lifetime adventure. Our tours are guided by local experts who know the Sawtooth Wilderness and the Rocky Mountains of Idaho. From 1-hour to an all-day journey, select the ideal outdoor excursion for you and your family. Some highlights of our equestrian experience include fantastic views of the Heyburn, Fishhook Knob, Hortsman, Williams, and Thompson peaks, and the beaver ponds located at the end of the Fishhook Creek Trail!

Biking

In addition to hiking and horseback riding, you can bike along the Fishhook Creek Trail. Our on-site bike rental shop is located next to the Main Lodge in front of our General Store. Whether you are looking for fat tire cruisers or kids bikes, reserve the ideal adventure-mobile to spend your day exploring. All of our rentals are offered for 2-hour, half-day, or full day outings.
