Why Choose Rocky Mountain River Tours?

Dave and Sheila Mills brought Rocky Mountain River Tours into existence in the 1970s before becoming an important piece of Sawtooth Adventure Company. Now, it is one of the top companies in the area for exploring the Salmon River. Keep reading to check out some of the unique adventures they offer!

What Kind of Whitewater Rafting Tours Do They Offer?

Rocky Mountain River Tours offers whitewater rafting excursions on the Middle Fork and the Salmon River of No Return. Both of these sections of our famous river provide exciting experiences that are unlike any other in our area. There are four, five, and six-day all-inclusive expeditions to choose from while planning your vacation. If you don’t see trip dates that match up during your visit, you can always request a private charter. These one-of-a-kind tours offer an incredible opportunity to camp out in the wilderness and enjoy camaraderie around the fire as you wait for the delicious meals to cook in the Dutch Oven.

Do They Offer Fly Fishing Tours?

You’ll find two types of fly fishing adventures featured on the Rocky Mountain River Tours website. Those partial to fishing will get to cast a line all day while others can enjoy hot springs, hikes, and more on the Middle Fork Raft & Fly Fish trip. Of course, if you prefer to only fly fish, their fly fishing trip is one of the best fishing excursions the area offers. Starting mid-August, you can explore the Middle Fork and its tributaries as you fish all day, every day.

What Can You Eat?

Who knew that camp food could win awards? The Dutch Oven cuisine offered by Rocky Mountain River Tours features popular dishes like sticky buns, pecan-crusted pork, and cake for dessert. If you have a food allergy or specific restrictions, they’re more than happy to accommodate you.
