The Top Two Sun Valley Hot Springs

Frenchman’s Bend Hot Springs

Frenchman’s Bend Hot Springs (also referred to as Warfield Hot Springs) is arguably the top hot springs in Sun Valley. You’ll find three different pools along Warm Springs Creek and Warm Springs Road about 11 miles southwest of Ketchum. These hot springs provide a very natural experience, especially given that there are no facilities at the location. It can get crowded during peak seasons even though there is limited parking on the side of the road, so early morning or early evening are the two best times to visit. It’s worth the drive from Redfish Lake for the stunning setting in the beautiful Idaho wilderness.

Tip: The last seven miles of the drive from Ketchum to Frenchman’s Ben Hot Springs is on a dirt road that closes during flooding from spring runoff.  Plan on visiting in the summer, fall, or early winter.

Easley Hot Springs

Easley Hot Springs is the most family-friendly hot springs in Sun Valley. This complex is about 20 minutes north of Ketchum and 50 minutes south of Stanley and is a fantastic place to stop on a scenic drive. Here, you’ll find a large swimming pool for kids and two small hot tubs for adults. The hot springs feed these three pools with mineral-rich water. Easley Hot Springs is only open during the summer on Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Other Nearby Hot Springs

After you explore the beautiful Sun Valley hot springs, head back toward Stanley to sample the warm waters at a handful of nearby hot springs. Boat Box and Sunbeam are both quick drives from the Redfish Lake Lodge, but Challis and Kirkham are both about an hour away.
