Weekly Music & Events: 7/27-8/2/2015

Muzzie Braun

Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 6:00-8:00pm

Always a favorite at Redfish Lake Lodge, Muzzie Braun has been serenading guests with mountain tunes for as long as many of us can remember. He is a Sawtooth legend as a founding member of the Braun Brothers Band and Muzzie & The Boys (with his sons). While his sons have also gone on to fame with Reckless Kelly and Micky & The Motorcars, he has settled down again in the Sawtooths to enjoy the scenery and keep visitors company with great music. We’re always excited to welcome him to our stage.

Dewey, Pickett & Howe

Friday, July 31, 2015 from 6:00-8:00pm

Dewey, Pickett, & Howe’s blend of mountain bluegrass is right at home in the Sawtooths. This skillful group of musicians has woven the rugged heart of Idaho into every light-hearted tune and they’re always willing to put on a great show for guests at the Lodge. Mandolin melodies harmonize with upright bass, smooth voices, and fresh mountain air, to invite good times and dancing from anyone interested. We’ll see you there!

Chicken Dinner Road w/ The GVO (Clif Bar Touring Band)

Sunday, August 2, 2015 from 3:00-7:00pm

Chicken Dinner Road uniquely combines heartfelt, instrument-driven melodies and classic influences from a wide range of musical styles to provide audiences with an always pleasing Idaho experience. These guys have been rocking together for a long time – to the tune of 6 studio albums – and they’re sure to put on a wonderful show against the Sawtooth scenery.

We’ll also be joined by Clif Bar’s touring band, The Grove Valve Orchestra (GVO). This sweet gathering of talented musicians – who all worked for Clif Bar at one time or another – has been touring the country, sharing their love and skill for music while building awareness and financial support for non-profit organizations and other charitable causes. Don’t miss your opportunity to support their spirit and a host of causes.

Grab your lawn blanket, but don’t forget your dancing shoes, and prepare to hear sounds from bluegrass to classical to gospel and country rock-n-roll. We’ll see you up here!
