You can’t beat Redfish Lake once the peak season rush has ended, and kids start to go back to school. This change in demographic means you can enjoy the sweeping beauty and serenity of our historic mountain Idaho lodge with full access to the hiking trails, marina rentals, and other fantastic local activities.

Countless adventures await you at the Redfish Lake Lodge in September. Hiking is one of our favorite activities, and there are dozens of trails branching out from our Lodge. Plus, you can take the Redfish Lake Shuttle boat across the lake for access to more trails. Our marina has boats, kayaks, SUPs, and canoe rentals, as well as lake tours and a great beach. If you’re looking to relax, immerse yourself in nature at a hot spring or cast a line into one of the many lakes or rivers. 

Fantastic Weather

September in Stanley, Idaho, is one of our favorite times to visit. This is when temperatures remain perfect, and there’s little precipitation, but families are back in their work and school schedules, resulting in a quiet and beautiful time at the Lake. You might see some of the locals out enjoying themselves throughout the month. The trees and plants on the surrounding hills and mountains begin to put on their fall colors, making the area shine with every shade of orange, yellow, red, and brown imaginable. This makes hiking and mountain biking even more epic and colorful than normal.
